Manchester City have won the UEFA Champions League to complete the treble, defeating Inter Milan
Manchester City are one of thirteen English football clubs to
have won a European title, in City's case both the 1969–70 Cup Winners' Cup and
the 2022–23 Champions League. The club's first entry into European competition
occurred in 1968, as a result of winning the Football League Championship.
City
beat Inter 1-0 on Saturday night thanks to a second half goal from Rodri,
securing their third trophy of the season after already securing the Premier
League and FA Cup.
Man
City's high pitch victors have gotten back after their Champions League final
win over Inter Milan in Istanbul.
They
were welcomed at Manchester air terminal by fans who waved banners in their
honor, as players arose holding the best award in European football.
